Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Suat Kaya started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Félicien Boidin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Félicien Boidin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kryspin Cupial showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suat Kaya in the 6th minute of the match. Jannes Van Leempoel was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Junior Quintana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Junior Quintana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Genk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Faudel Dagorne was slow to take the kick. During this time Cosa nostra Lyon's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Faudel Dagorne almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Genk's Jannes Van Leempoel did a great save. 13 minutes into the game, Suat Kaya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosa nostra Lyon the free kick. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Genk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suat Kaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jannes Van Leempoel made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Uwe Birmes sent off a good shot on target. 15 minutes into the match, Genk's goalkeeper Jannes Van Leempoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uwe Birmes. Félicien Boidin might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jannes Van Leempoel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Félicien Boidin ran back to his position shaking his head. Jannes Van Leempoel made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Uwe Birmes sent off a good shot on target. In the 22ndth minute of the game Suat Kaya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosa nostra Lyon's Kryspin Cupial was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jannes Van Leempoel was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Junior Quintana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Junior Quintana really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Uwe Birmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jannes Van Leempoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Junior Quintana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jannes Van Leempoel. Junior Quintana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Jannes Van Leempoel came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosa nostra Lyon's Uwe Birmes. But to his dismay, Uwe Birmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 40th minute, 高川永 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannes Van Leempoel was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Suat Kaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kryspin Cupial having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Rain De Hond hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Junior Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Van Leempoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Suat Kaya was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Genk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cosa nostra Lyon's Best Jesus was substituted for Joe Plantin. Jannes Van Leempoel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Quintana in the 69th minute of the match. If Horia Şuplăcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genk's Jannes Van Leempoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Quintana in the 77th minute of play. Horia Şuplăcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Van Leempoel having to interfere. Horia Şuplăcan struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jannes Van Leempoel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. Horia Şuplăcan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Genk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Klemensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Suat Kaya came free, but Kryspin Cupial reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Horia Şuplăcan made a precise shot to the right of Jannes Van Leempoel. Genk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 95th minute Horia Şuplăcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Van Leempoel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Best Jesus in the 96th minute of play forced Genk's goalkeeper Jannes Van Leempoel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
