The referee ignored Minion Mim's protests and gave Gunter Van Geertruyen a yellow card for diving instead. Gunter Van Geertruyen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Minion Mim's goal looked a bit too open when Emad Ashjari came free, but Constantijn Bracke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The Eastern Kurdistan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bamshad Gohari should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Minion Mim had won after a very even match.
