An unexpectedly hard shot by Izydor Rakiewicz in the 5th minute of play forced Eendracht Vooruit's goalkeeper Felix Laremans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bas Van der Vloedt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Edgar Piszczor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jadymy Durś's goalkeeper Edgar Piszczor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felix Laremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izydor Rakiewicz in the 16th minute of play. Bas Van der Vloedt kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Franciszek Jeziorkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jadymy Durś's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franciszek Jeziorkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Izydor Rakiewicz in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Laremans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bartosz Komanski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Felix Laremans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Eendracht Vooruit's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Rakiewicz came free, but Felix Laremans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Izydor Rakiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felix Laremans was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Felix Laremans was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Izydor Rakiewicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Izydor Rakiewicz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Izydor Rakiewicz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes, Wieslaw Wnukowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jadymy Durś and the Eendracht Vooruit players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Jadymy Durś got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Wnukowski. Dreas Iven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Bartosz Komanski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jadymy Durś fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Bartosz Komanski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Laremans having to make a save. Izydor Rakiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Felix Laremans made a huge save. The supporters of Eendracht Vooruit booed when Jadymy Durś was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanek Zachemski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Jadymy Durś supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jadymy Durś would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
