With a little luck, KEZ Toppfotball's Bjørnar Bach got control of the ball when Mathieux Steenbecks tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, KEZ Toppfotball's Ask Vågenes got a free kick in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, KEZ Toppfotball's goal looked a bit too open when Dreas Iven came free, but Bjørnar Bach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the game, Dreas Iven landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 21st minute, Oscar Leknes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to KEZ Toppfotball getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Stor Tullebølle hit a great ball. In the 25th match minute, KEZ Toppfotball was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severin Erland to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Beckers in the 32nd minute of play forced KEZ Toppfotball's goalkeeper Bjørnar Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eendracht Vooruit's Arthur Clijsters couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for KEZ Toppfotball. The crowd rose to their feet as Stein-Roger Oksnes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felix Laremans. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timothy Van Goethem in the 73rd minute of play forced KEZ Toppfotball's goalkeeper Bjørnar Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Kenneth Tangerud might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felix Laremans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Kenneth Tangerud ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 79 minutes, Adam Beckers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eendracht Vooruit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Beckers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bjørnar Bach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Beckers in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Kenneth Tangerud in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Laremans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bjørnar Bach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy Van Goethem in the 90th minute of play. After 90 played minutes KEZ Toppfotball got a freekick which was hit by Ask Vågenes. When the final whistle went the supporters of KEZ Toppfotball were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Eendracht Vooruit side.
