The Tallboda Gunners fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Tallboda Gunners's Pär Widberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Tallboda Gunners's Pär Widberg in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newcastle United's goalie prevented a goal. Henning Hernström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Borcz in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Newcastle United's Barnaba Borcz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henning Hernström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Tallboda Gunners's zone, Wlodzimierz Sokolski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Hernström came out of the goal and Wlodzimierz Sokolski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henning Hernström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 25th minute of the match. Remigiusz Bronkala came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Henning Hernström could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigiusz Bronkala in the 27th minute of play forced Tallboda Gunners's goalkeeper Henning Hernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henning Hernström came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United's Remigiusz Bronkala. But to his dismay, Remigiusz Bronkala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Karl-Erik Ahlbom kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Newcastle United's Wlodzimierz Sokolski got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pål Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Remigiusz Bronkala could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Henning Hernström made a huge save. Tallboda Gunners's Henning Hernström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 42nd minute of play. Henning Hernström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 44th minute of play. Wlodzimierz Sokolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Hernström having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wlodzimierz Sokolski to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Löv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Remigiusz Bronkala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigiusz Bronkala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Hernström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Rojewski to maneuver through the defense. Pär Widberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kryspin Wyrostek could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute of the match Tallboda Gunners got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiktor Wallander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pål Ström was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Wlodzimierz Sokolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Henning Hernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Remigiusz Bronkala came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Newcastle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigiusz Bronkala couldn't finish the play. Remigiusz Bronkala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Wlodzimierz Sokolski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Hernström was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Remigiusz Bronkala hit a great ball. Karl-Erik Ahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Kryspin Wyrostek came out of the goal and Pär Widberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wlodzimierz Sokolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Henning Hernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Newcastle United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tallboda Gunners for a fine match.
