The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Mario Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Fabrizio Melfi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Villa Gordiani's Fabrizio Melfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Gomes in the 10th minute of play. Mario Gomes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Fabrizio Melfi 11 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's José Paulo Recife got a free kick in the 14th minute. Washington Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Spinelli in the 15th minute of play. Washington Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Pezzi in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Villa Gordiani getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Federico Pezzi hit a great ball. Celsinho Carneiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 22nd minute, Fabiano Di Lullo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Pezzi charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Pezzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Federico Pezzi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Fabiano Di Lullo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Washington Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Gordiani. In the 35th minute, Mario Gomes made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Melfi. Villa Gordiani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 40th minute, Villa Gordiani's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lotan Otto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mario Gomes made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Del Duca. Fabrizio Melfi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Gomes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrizio Melfi saved Villa Gordiani from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Gomes in the 59th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Fabrizio Melfi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Concetto Spinelli scored to the left of an out of position Washington Cavalcante, making the score, 6-1. Fabrizio Melfi came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Ademir Siqueira. But to his dismay, Ademir Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Fabiano Di Lullo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Fabrizio Melfi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Gomes in the 94th minute of play. Fabrizio Melfi came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Mario Gomes. But to his dismay, Mario Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1.
