Wolf's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frederic Wuttemans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Benoit Keuppens hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Wolf's Edmundo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole Orihuela in the 29th minute of play. Edmundo Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ole Orihuela in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Wolf's goal looked a bit too open when Toon Uijterhove came free, but Edmundo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Wolf getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hortêncio Fantini hit a great ball. Eliseu Teixeira took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garry Vercauteren. Garry Vercauteren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ole Orihuela made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toon Uijterhove in the 56th minute of play forced Wolf's goalkeeper Edmundo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Hortêncio Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garry Vercauteren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
