Bruly's Garry Vercauteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Sampil in the 30th minute of play. When Ioan Andone fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A4p Dejani's protests and gave Ioan Andone a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in A4p Dejani fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! 32 minutes into the game, Bruly's Richard Stuycken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mircea Popic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A4p Dejani's Mircea Popic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save A4p Dejani from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Bruly's Frederic Wuttemans got a free kick in the 67th minute. Mircea Popic made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck sent off a good shot on target. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes A4p Dejani got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Vefik Hisar. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Mircea Popic made a huge save. Mircea Popic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ole Orihuela in the 89th minute of the match. When Toon Uijterhove came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Bruly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toon Uijterhove couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederic Wuttemans got free with Mircea Popic in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Bruly supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bruly would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
