After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sabin Asachi managed to get in a good position for a shot. A4p Dejani's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabin Asachi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Badia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mircea Popic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro León in the 13th minute. Emiliano Quintero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Mircea Popic made a huge save. Axel Uplegger hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 25 minutes of play, A4p Dejani's Constantin Fința made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgar Badia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emiliano Quinteros short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Mircea Popic to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 30th minute, Nistor Vladimirescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Emiliano Quintero made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. A4p Dejani's Mircea Popic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the game, Emiliano Quintero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mircea Popic. Emiliano Quintero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 37 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Vladimirescu came free, but Edgar Badia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A4p Dejani's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ahmet Vefik Hisar in the 38th minute. When Nistor Vladimirescu fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A4p Dejani's protests and gave Nistor Vladimirescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, A4p Dejani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Vladimirescu to maneuver through the defense. Facundo Feria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Mircea Popic when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantin Fința was the one to do the kick off. Mircea Popic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro León in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute Facundo Feria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Popic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes A4p Dejani got a freekick which was hit by Luis Sampil. A4p Dejani's Mircea Popic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Feria in the 64th minute of play. In the 70th minute Gaspar Vazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mircea Popic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PERSPOLIS's Edgar Badia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save PERSPOLIS from getting a goal against them. Facundo Feria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Popic having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Ahmet Vefik Hisar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A4p Dejani and the PERSPOLIS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Vefik Hisar hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Mircea Popic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Feria in the 95th minute of the match.
