A collision led to Clube Sporting Navuo getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Flávio Reis hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Ediberto França put in a rough tackle. After 8 played minutes Clube Sporting Navuo got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto França. Joaquim Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Orlan in the 9th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Omar Orlan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquim Pombal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andreas Fuchs hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Andreas Fuchss short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Marcial Estavan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Dagoberto Neila got a free kick in the 28th minute. Marcial Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Omar Orlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 42 minutes, Gabriel Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Sporting Navuo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Clube Sporting Navuo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Dino Travassos hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Batistuta to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Omar Orlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Joaquim Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Neila got free with Joaquim Pombal in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquim Pombal came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Dagoberto Neila. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Neila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 64th match minute, Clube Sporting Navuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander McCuag to maneuver through the defense. Milton Ramos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquim Pombal. Clube Sporting Navuo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gabriel Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcial Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clube Sporting Navuo made a substitution. Ezequiel Capixaba replaced Emilijano Spasovski. 76 minutes into the match, Clube Sporting Navuo's goalkeeper Joaquim Pombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dagoberto Neila. In the 78th minute, Gabriel Batistuta made a precise shot to the right of Marcial Estavan. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Clube Sporting Navuo made a substitution. Augusto Meira replaced Gabriel Batistuta. Flávio Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Clube Sporting Navuo's Flávio Reis got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Joaquim Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Neila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Clube Sporting Navuo's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Neila came free, but Joaquim Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes of play, Clube Sporting Navuo's Augusto Meira made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcial Estavan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
