Cayetano Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Noriega in the 5th minute of the match. Cayetano Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabirel Garantos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Loren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prospero Petri in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Ledesma in the 9th minute of play forced Volvio Moreno's goalkeeper Manuel Loren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Zacarias Cambranes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volvio Moreno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Cambranes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Barrionuevo in the 12th minute of play forced Patay Juniors's goalkeeper Cayetano Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes, Elvio Bernal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patay Juniors and the Volvio Moreno players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Patay Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Bernal to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Gabirel Garantos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Volvio Moreno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Elvio Bernal struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Manuel Loren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patay Juniors. Cayetano Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Noriega in the 23rd minute of play. Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabirel Garantos in the 24th minute of play. Cayetano Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabirel Garantos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A nice corner shot did that Raúl Noriega got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cayetano Francho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 32nd minute, Silverio Barrionuevo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Francho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cayetano Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabirel Garantos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 44th minute Gabirel Garantos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Francho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, one of Volvio Moreno:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Manuel Loren, was totally fooled by Patay Juniors's Norberto Naelio, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Patay Juniors's Cayetano Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Cambranes in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the Patay Juniors defense, Gabirel Garantos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Francho. The Patay Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Francho should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Patay Juniors getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Leandro Astigar hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Patay Juniors's Elvio Bernal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Loren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Silverio Barrionuevo made a precise shot to the right of Cayetano Francho. Patay Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Edgard Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Manuel Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Volvio Moreno booed when Patay Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute Volvio Moreno were awarded a corner. Haroldo Presebal went to the cornerflag to take it. Raúl Noriega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Ledesma scored 2-6 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Loren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Volvio Moreno eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
