Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcu Ianculescu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hüsrev Yaşar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcu Ianculescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hüsrev Yaşar. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 39th minute Anıl Berk Erginay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Ravelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
