Rozarius Sanjurjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 17th minute of the match. Vänge IF's Di Xing Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juango Baroja in the 19th minute of play. When Eguen Tavarez fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Ortegano's protests and gave Eguen Tavarez a yellow card for diving instead. Eguen Tavarez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 26th minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Rozarius Sanjurjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Schorsch Schmalzbauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goal looked a bit too open when Schorsch Schmalzbauer came free, but Rozarius Sanjurjo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vänge IF fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Vänge IF's Juan Lebron looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice moves Elano Lobado could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Di Xing Yu however easily saved by the left post. Schorsch Schmalzbauer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rozarius Sanjurjo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Elano Lobado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Di Xing Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iratze Arri made in the 44th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edmundo Arizabal however managed to control. After the first half Vänge IF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Deportivo Ortegano's Ignacio Gaig was substituted for Delmar Nesto. After 55 played minutes Vänge IF got a freekick which was hit by Mihai Stratulat. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Schorsch Schmalzbauer put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rozarius Sanjurjo. The crowd rose to their feet as Schorsch Schmalzbauer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rozarius Sanjurjo. That made the score 0-4 in the 66 minute of play. If Schorsch Schmalzbauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Gaig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rozarius Sanjurjo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Vänge IF's Di Xing Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Vordenbäumen in the 85th minute of play. When Iratze Arri fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Ortegano's protests and gave Iratze Arri a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vänge IF booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iratze Arri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vänge IF played a much better game than Deportivo Ortegano and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Ortegano players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
