El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Lekberg in the 2nd minute of play. El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save El Pinar from getting a goal against them. Kim Lekberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ni Tian Peng came out and tried to block the shot, but Kim Lekberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Tipi Calderon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Uzer in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süreyya Uzer in the 20th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Tipi Calderon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tipi Calderon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estebano Lecanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Kim Lekberg made the kick off in the second half. Nils-Åke Myhr's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Los Andes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Åke Myhr helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, El Pinar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Åke Myhr to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Inautzi was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Los Andes's players had a chance to rest. Ni Tian Peng came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager. But to his dismay, Kaj Skager quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
