Wágner Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Behrad Fattahi having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Eastern Kurdistan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Recife came free, but Behrad Fattahi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Behrad Fattahi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Eastern Kurdistan FC got a freekick which was hit by Anoushiravan Heidari. In the 21st minute, one of Eastern Kurdistan FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Eastern Kurdistan FC. Behrad Fattahi had in the 23rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jiang Zhen Sen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 25th match minute, Eastern Kurdistan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anoushiravan Heidari to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eastern Kurdistan FC's goalkeeper Behrad Fattahi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ali Barzegar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Behrad Fattahi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Zhen Sen, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Jiang Zhen Sen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Behrad Fattahi. Eastern Kurdistan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jiang Zhen Sen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 42nd match minute, Eastern Kurdistan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Barzegar to maneuver through the defense. Anoushiravan Heidari hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Behrad Fattahi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Recife in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wágner Recife to make the kick off. Eendracht Vooruit were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Eastern Kurdistan FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihai Encea took the corner. Behrad Fattahi came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Eendracht Vooruit's Jiang Zhen Sen. But to his dismay, Jiang Zhen Sen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eendracht Vooruit made a substitution. Gery Burhanuddin replaced Wágner Recife. Gery Burhanuddin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Behrad Fattahi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Mihai Encea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gery Burhanuddins short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Behrad Fattahi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eastern Kurdistan FC's Behrad Fattahi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Eastern Kurdistan FC from getting a goal against them. Eendracht Vooruit's Diederick Imbrechs quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anoushiravan Heidari, made in the 82nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Zhen Sen in the 86th minute of play forced Eastern Kurdistan FC's goalkeeper Behrad Fattahi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Gery Burhanuddin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Behrad Fattahi. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 92nd minute Gery Burhanuddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behrad Fattahi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Eastern Kurdistan FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Eendracht Vooruit were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
