In the 29th minute of the match, Hooman Fazel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fernandão Rodrigues was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wolf's Fernandão Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Wolf from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bo Brummer sped through Eastern Kurdistan FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Behrad Fattahi. A collision led to Eastern Kurdistan FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Anoushiravan Heidari hit a great ball. Wolf's Fernandão Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Wolf from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Elói Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behrad Fattahi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Eastern Kurdistan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Behrad Fattahi should have stopped the shot. Behrad Fattahi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Moraes in the 83rd minute of play. Fernandão Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hooman Fazel in the 88th minute of play. Kianoosh Tabari's late challenge caught a Wolf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
