Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gremio NG's Júnior Quintana started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fábio Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 6 minutes into the game, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Gremio NG's Dino do Vale got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 14th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Gremio NG's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho dos Santos came free, but Fábio Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 18th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Fabinho dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabinho dos Santos scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fábio Pinheiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Agnaldo Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Monteiro to maneuver through the defense. Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 34th minute of play. Júnior Quintana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Fabinho dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Sandro Nogueira threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Athletico Paulistano's Agnaldo Mattos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 47 minutes Gremio NG's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Saad Dar who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Saad Dar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fábio Pinheiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabinho dos Santos made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Sandro Nogueira in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Athletico Paulistano's Agnaldo Mattos. Fabinho dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Fábio Pinheiro made a huge save. 54 minutes into the game, Fabinho dos Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fábio Pinheiro. Fabinho dos Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 57th minute, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio Pinheiro. Fábio Pinheiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Fábio Pinheiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 61st minute. Fabinho dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Fábio Pinheiro made a huge save. Fabinho dos Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fábio Pinheiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Fabinho dos Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 63rd minute. Fábio Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Fabinho dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fábio Pinheiro. Fábio Pinheiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. With a little luck, Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro got control of the ball when Fabinho dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner led Club Athletico Paulistano's Zé Paulo de Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Fábio Pinheiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 74th minute, Fabinho dos Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fábio Pinheiro. The goal made the score 0-8. João Augusto Monteiro made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sandro Nogueira immediately put the ball in play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho dos Santos got free with Fábio Pinheiro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute of the game João Augusto Monteiro made a throw-in which Sandro Nogueira played forward. Eliseu Mendes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Dino do Vale hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd play minute Fabinho dos Santos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fábio Pinheiro. 0-9. Club Athletico Paulistano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
