Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vänge IF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Olin Munster got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Quinton Marcheterre notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando. Ciriaco Hernando was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Östen Olsson put in a rough tackle. Michael Owen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Otsoa in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Quinton Marcheterre made a precise shot to the right of Ciriaco Hernando. Vänge IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 16 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Gary Thomason. Abel Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Albäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daron Keen. Ciriaco Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Owen in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Daron Keen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando got control of the ball when Daron Keen tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daron Keen in the 30th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Owen came free, but Ciriaco Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Owen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 37 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio da Rocha. Ciriaco Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michael Owen in the 39th minute. Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Owen in the 43rd minute of play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC were furious when Olin Munster was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Qikiqtarjuaq FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vänge IF:s goal. Vänge IF's Zoltán Tálas was substituted for Rune Aspengren.

Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Bastien Aldridge was substituted for Michael Owen. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bastien Aldridge was the one to do the kick off. If Bastien Aldridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Zoltán Tálas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilber Leon might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Hernando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilber Leon ran back to his position shaking his head. Bastien Aldridge hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vänge IF getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Geva Lia hit a great ball. Bastien Aldridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ciriaco Hernando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilber Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geva Lia hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ciriaco Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastien Aldridge in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Bastien Aldridge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Hernando was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 97thth minute of the game Bastien Aldridge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vänge IF's Ciriaco Hernando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 99 minutes, Bastien Aldridge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastien Aldridge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hubert Arthur's late challenge caught a Vänge IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Arthur helped the player get up and apologised. In the 101st match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubert Arthur to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Lilo Stich from long distance, 102 minutes into the match, got Abel Bueno's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. There was no doubt that Qikiqtarjuaq FC were the better team. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
