Costel Achifoaiei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Maugard in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Taşcă during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Academia D3c3bal FC's Valentin Taşcă got a free kick in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Lăceanu came free, but Kader Raguin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malik Vrignon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Herblay booed when Academia D3c3bal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Enache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costel Achifoaiei made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Dehais in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Adam Maugard notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Academia D3c3bal FC's Costel Achifoaiei. Costel Achifoaiei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Adam Maugard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul-Émile Morille's late challenge caught a Academia D3c3bal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul-Émile Morille helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Academia D3c3bal FC's Leontin Lăceanu got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes Academia D3c3bal FC got a freekick which was hit by Aron Dărmănescu. José Dehais might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costel Achifoaiei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Dehais ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantin Stoicu was the one to do the kick off. Costel Achifoaiei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Maugard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Academia D3c3bal FC defense, José Dehais kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costel Achifoaiei. The Academia D3c3bal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costel Achifoaiei should have stopped the shot. Kader Raguin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Panaite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herblay's Kader Raguin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Panaite in the 62nd minute of play. Constantin Stoicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kader Raguin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Herblay's Kader Raguin got control of the ball when Leontin Lăceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Stoicu got free with Kader Raguin in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When José Dehais came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Herblay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Dehais couldn't finish the play. Antonin Daguerre hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Aron Dărmănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonin Daguerre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costel Achifoaiei having to interfere. Costel Achifoaiei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Maugard in the 91st minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Herblay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Academia D3c3bal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
