The supporters of DENVER™ booed when Borussia Dortmund MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Duplantier didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Víktor Simão came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Borussia Dortmund MZB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Simão couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Rossi in the 42nd minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Toninho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Oswaldo Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Guilherme Abud made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Freitas in the 53rd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper José Vítor Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Rossi got free with Toninho Pinheiro in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Abud to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Simão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Toninho Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marcel Schmelzer hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Guilherme Abud got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diguinho Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diguinho Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diguinho Vargas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Borussia Dortmund MZB players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for DENVER™.
