The referee showed Cristiano Montini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alvise Di Berardino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 11th minute of play forced PowerHawKings's goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Angelo Peruzzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Biagio Sivieri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Biagio Sivieri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 22nd minute Aldo Castellani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Dudu Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PowerHawKings's Angelo Peruzzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Folke Österlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Castellani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Borges. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvise Di Berardino was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to PowerHawKings getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Emiliano Cesaroni hit a great ball. Angelo Peruzzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernani Travassos in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Alvise Di Berardino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Österlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The PowerHawKings fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when PowerHawKings's Biagio Sivieri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elói Fonseca was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of PowerHawKings booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biagio Sivieri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Sivieri in the 70th minute of play. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Castellani in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80th minute, Biagio Sivieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PowerHawKings fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when PowerHawKings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Cesaroni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hernani Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Angelo Peruzzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Santoro kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's Tiaguinho Fernandez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. PowerHawKings's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
