The supporters of Catugi FC booed when lןןl Banfield Drillers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Tartalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Heli during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, lןןl Banfield Drillers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Heli to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Reginaldo Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesar Florin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Hernani Travassos's late challenge caught a lןןl Banfield Drillers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Hernani Travassos got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Dudu Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesar Florin. lןןl Banfield Drillers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dudu Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Benedicto Heli made the kick off in the second half. Cesar Florin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Borges went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 54th minute, Dudu Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catugi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After having played for 57 minutes, Reginaldo Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginaldo Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elói Fonseca's late challenge caught a lןןl Banfield Drillers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elói Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Elói Fonseca. If Benedicto Heli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Benedicto Heli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Österlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaudencio Iaki in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Dudu Borges made a precise shot to the right of Cesar Florin. lןןl Banfield Drillers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. After a rather tough play, lןןl Banfield Drillers's Inocencio Felipillo got a free kick in the 80th minute. When Tiaguinho Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiaguinho Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Cesar Florin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Florin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 90th minute of the match. Cesar Florin came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Dudu Borges. But to his dismay, Dudu Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catugi FC had won after a very even match.
