In the 2nd minute, Elias Millrick made a precise shot to the right of Gualter Carmo. KINDERUZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Gualter Carmo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8thth minute of the game Elias Millrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KINDERUZ's Gualter Carmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Håkan Šuker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualter Carmo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After 17 played minutes KINDERUZ got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Couto. 18 minutes into the match, KINDERUZ's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Šuker came free, but Gualter Carmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after KINDERUZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hans Bergfelt took the corner. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Gualter Carmo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 23rdth minute of the game Elias Millrick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KINDERUZ's Gualter Carmo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Håkan Šuker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gualter Carmo, 3-0. Håkan Šuker might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter Carmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Šuker ran back to his position shaking his head. Gualter Carmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Håkan Šuker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualter Carmo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerónimo Avelar during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of La Cosa Nostra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KINDERUZ:s goal. La Cosa Nostra:s Sonny Alén showed great skill when he stopped Fernando Couto:s penalty. After 35 played minutes KINDERUZ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Pacheco. La Cosa Nostra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hans Bergfelt in the 38th minute. A well done corner resulted in Elias Millrick drilling the ball in to score 4-0 behind KINDERUZ's goalkeeper. 42 minutes into the match, Elias Millrick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualter Carmo. KINDERUZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Millrick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 45 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Gualter Carmo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Varela to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualter Carmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 55th minute La Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner. Hans Bergfelt went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Millrick in the 56th minute of play forced KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Gualter Carmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Håkan Šuker took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter Carmo. Gualter Carmo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. 62 minutes into the game, La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualter Carmo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Fernando Couto made in the 64th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rafael Rebelo immediately put the ball in play. Gualter Carmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Håkan Šuker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Cosa Nostra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 71 minutes into the match, Håkan Šuker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gualter Carmo. KINDERUZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Šuker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Gualter Carmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Håkan Šuker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter Carmo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 83rd minute of play forced KINDERUZ's goalkeeper Gualter Carmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Couto made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rafael Rebelo however managed to control. Gonçalo Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Nicolau Benevides threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Cosa Nostra's Jerónimo Avelar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandrino Caldas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Alexandrino Caldas took a quick shot and it went in 10-1 without a chance for Sonny Alén to make any attempt to save it.
