Reko Nybacka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Pacheco in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Dudu Borges recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Neuer. Walmir Duarte was slow to take the kick. During this time Catugi FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Catugi FC's corner Walmir Duarte fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manuel Neuer quite easily take care of the ball. In the 46th minute, Aírton de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agnaldo Brodel made a kick off. In the 93rd minute, Agnaldo Brodel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catugi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. KINDERUZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
