After 6 played minutes, Catugi FC's Erik Sanches shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hayrullah Asya came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Halil Can Bahadıroğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beyaz Zenciler's supporters rose to their feet, but Halil Can Bahadıroğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Gaizkine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reşat Orgunalp in the 22nd minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Paulo Gaizkine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beyaz Zenciler's Hayrullah Asya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 24th minute of play. In the 29th minute Reşat Orgunalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Gaizkine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Evaristo de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hayrullah Asya. That made the score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Jaime França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Rüştü Cangiray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Kutsi Hanbeyi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Erik Sanches sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hayrullah Asya skillfully saved the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Ahmet Kutsi Hanbeyi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine. Paulo Gaizkine was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reşat Orgunalp got free with Paulo Gaizkine in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Paulo Gaizkine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reşat Orgunalp in the 72nd minute of play. Paulo Gaizkine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reşat Orgunalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 74th minute of play forced Beyaz Zenciler's goalkeeper Hayrullah Asya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Gaizkine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reşat Orgunalp's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Beyaz Zenciler's Hayrullah Asya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo de Souza in the 84th minute of play. Hayrullah Asya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo de Souza went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute Rüştü Cangiray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Gaizkine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reşat Orgunalp in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo Gaizkine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 93 minutes into the game, Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hayrullah Asya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Catugi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beyaz Zenciler had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
