Arnulfo Riba kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Soares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Eric Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute Ralf Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reko Nybacka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reko Nybacka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Lundblad in the 15th minute of play. Reko Nybacka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Lundblad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Carlos Alberto Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 20th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Eric Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Catugi FC were awarded a corner. Vicente Valladares went to the cornerflag to take it. After 27 minutes of play, Polar Ice Caps's Jack Lundblad made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reko Nybacka was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tristan Lenaerts hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Róbert Čaplovič kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Walmir Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbert Čaplovič charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Róbert Čaplovič the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Polar Ice Caps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbert Čaplovič to maneuver through the defense. When Ildefonso Reynardo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 47 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Reko Nybacka was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
Eric Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime França, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Catugi FC got a corner. Polar Ice Caps's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vicente Valladares ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tristan Lenaerts got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Fransson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Soares in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Fransson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Róbert Čaplovič got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 59 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Čaplovič. In the 60th minute of the match Vicente Valladares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Fransson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Walmir Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Eric Fransson. Polar Ice Caps's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Pombal in the 70th minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Eric Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Polar Ice Caps getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Stellan Sellberg hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Vicente Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the game, André Botvidsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polar Ice Caps's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catugi FC the free kick. André Botvidsson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Vicente Valladares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eric Fransson. Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Jack Lundblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Carlos Alberto Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Fransson. Polar Ice Caps's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Alberto Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sivert Sander kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Vicente Valladares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eric Fransson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 96 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Malmberg. After 97 played minutes, Catugi FC's Vicente Valladares shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eric Fransson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Polar Ice Caps players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Catugi FC.
