The crowd rose to their feet as Hahay's Korneliusz Weyna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gery De Clercq. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerry Verengen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hahay's Edgar Smuskiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Verengen in the 56th minute of play. Hahay's Edgar Smuskiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Hahay from getting a goal against them. Gery De Clercq didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Drugi went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Korneliusz Weyna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gery De Clercq read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Jaques Van Linthout hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Hahay's Marek Kaider was substituted for Korneliusz Weyna. The supporters of Hahay booed when FC Klavertje Vier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaques Van Linthout didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Bernard Drugi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hahay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Klavertje Vier the free kick.
