In the 2nd minute, Kayhan İmge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Tatangelos's Yusuf Ziya Suhan got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Arif Burak Kahveci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berker Rıza Erginer in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Vahap Özdil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonides Manny. Guillermo Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Los Tatangelos's Vahap Özdil got control of the ball when Leonides Manny tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yusuf Ziya Suhan's late challenge caught a Formentera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yusuf Ziya Suhan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Los Tatangelos's Yusuf Ziya Suhan got a free kick in the 46th minute. With a little luck, Los Tatangelos's Vahap Özdil got control of the ball when David Tabb tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Berker Rıza Erginer made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Formentera booed when Los Tatangelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Burak Kahveci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Manny. In the 66th minute David Tabb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Özdil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Los Tatangelos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arif Burak Kahveci to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, David Tabb notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Los Tatangelos's Vahap Özdil. Vahap Özdil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Formentera's Camilo Mondragon got control of the ball when Berker Rıza Erginer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Tatangelos's Berker Rıza Erginer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Camilo Mondragon. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. The Los Tatangelos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
