The referee ignored FC Klavertje Vier's protests and gave Vincent Van der Vorst a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute Jerry Verengen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fresco Baltanas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fernand De Koster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Van den Gans hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The long shot by Santos Olmos in the 12th minute really tested Gery De Clercq's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Jerry Verengen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Klavertje Vier's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Verengen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fresco Baltanas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Gitano Iniesta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UE Cornella fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Simon Viergever's late challenge caught a UE Cornella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Viergever helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UE Cornella booed when FC Klavertje Vier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Viergever didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Bjorn Blocks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Klavertje Vier's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UE Cornella the free kick. FC Klavertje Vier's Jerry Verengen got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Vincent Van der Vorst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Klavertje Vier booed when UE Cornella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Olmos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Bakayoko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 63rd minute of the match Simon Viergever completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Viergever a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 63rd minute, Simon Viergever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UE Cornella's Fresco Baltanas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save UE Cornella from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Jerry Verengen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Gitano Iniesta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UE Cornella fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 93rd minute, Jerry Verengen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fresco Baltanas. The goal made the score 3-1.
