In the 6th minute David Tabb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fresco Baltanas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes, Gitano Iniesta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UE Cornella and the Formentera players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gitano Iniesta hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that David Tabb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fresco Baltanas was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Formentera's Santo Illan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fresco Baltanas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santo Illan kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Ponce came free, but Camilo Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Marin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvito Font hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, David Tabb made a precise shot to the right of Fresco Baltanas. UE Cornella's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's goal looked a bit too open when David Tabb came free, but Fresco Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fresco Baltanas came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Formentera's David Tabb. But to his dismay, David Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. David Tabb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fresco Baltanas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of UE Cornella booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Vela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laureano Viviano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, UE Cornella's Baldemer Fuster sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Mondragon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Perez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Camilo Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Marin hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Baldemer Fuster hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Guillermo Marin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Viviano made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Modesto Poncio. In the 64th match minute, UE Cornella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Ponce to maneuver through the defense. David Tabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 74 in the game by David Tabb from a close distance when the talented Fresco Baltanas managed to make a qualified save. UE Cornella's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvito Font during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, UE Cornella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvito Font to maneuver through the defense. If Santo Illan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xantalen Clemente hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The UE Cornella fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Formentera were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
