In the 4th minute Fritz Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Huyberechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Jimmy Viergever in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BEST FABIO F.C.'s Rodrigo Garro. Henrik Huyberechts came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans. But to his dismay, Fritz Berghmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute Fritz Berghmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Huyberechts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fritz Berghmans came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the BEST FABIO F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Berghmans couldn't finish the play. Henrik Huyberechts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Berghmans's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Fritz Berghmans had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Huyberechts. FC Klavertje Vier's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fritz Berghmans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of FC Klavertje Vier booed when BEST FABIO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Garro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Fritz Berghmans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrik Huyberechts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Henrik Huyberechts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fritz Berghmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Fritz Berghmans scored 0-4 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Huyberechts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johan Bakayoko got free with Olivier Dubs in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerry Verengen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Rodrigo Garro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henrik Huyberechts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henrik Huyberechts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Berghmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Klavertje Vier getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lars De Kerpel hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henrik Huyberechts. That made the score 0-6 after 56 minutes of play. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the game, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrik Huyberechts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süleyman Ziya, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Verengen came free, but Olivier Dubs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Garro got free with Henrik Huyberechts in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Süleyman Ziya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. BEST FABIO F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
