After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Gamus Rocha got a free kick in the 30th minute. Zé Roberto Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Cifuentes in the 31st minute of play. Stamen Tekeliev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
