Folke Österlund was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luo Gang Zhan. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Catugi FC from getting a goal against them. Luo Gang Zhan kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Nando de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lirarnas Lag's Rune Grep was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Varela. Folke Österlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Wästerberg's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Lirarnas Lag's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Matos came free, but Rune Grep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Luiz Fernando Rezende got a free kick in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Petersson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folke Österlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinei Carioca's late challenge caught a Lirarnas Lag's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinei Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. Folke Österlund came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lirarnas Lag's Jonathan Petersson. But to his dismay, Jonathan Petersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Jonathan Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nando de Alcântara in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Grep saved Lirarnas Lag from getting behind. In the 48th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Domingues to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christer Wästerberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Nando de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Grep saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Pang Hai Yue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hernani Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Travassos couldn't finish the play. Folke Österlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christer Wästerberg's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harald Axelsson in the 58th minute of the match. Nando de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Petersson in the 65th minute of play. After 72 minutes, Luiz Fernando Rezende mouthed his way into the referee's book.
