Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Xabel in the 9th minute of play. Oleg Timofeev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erubiel Osoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With 18 minutes on the clock, Nicolas Calixto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Hacha y Tiza FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideo:s goal. In the 22nd minute, Fernando Peruxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oleg Timofeev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Xabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Fabricio Xabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Timofeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Xabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oleg Timofeev having to interfere. Erubiel Osoro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jano Cavalcante sent off a good shot on target. José Carlos Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Oleg Timofeev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Xabel went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the match, Fabricio Xabel notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev. Oleg Timofeev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hacha y Tiza FC's Clemente Bihar got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erubiel Osoro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jano Cavalcante in the 45th minute. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Xabel in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Hacha y Tiza FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clemente Bihar made a kick off. Oleg Timofeev came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Hacha y Tiza FC's Clemente Bihar. But to his dismay, Clemente Bihar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 57 minutes, José Carlos Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo and the Hacha y Tiza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hacha y Tiza FC booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev got control of the ball when Fabricio Xabel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Peruxu in the 61st minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Oleg Timofeev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Fernando Peruxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oleg Timofeev was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Fabricio Xabel kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Montevideo were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Hacha y Tiza FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celsinho de Almeida took the corner. Jacinto Laurin thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Erubiel Osoro, a very annoying self made goal in the 68th minute which led to 1-4. Ambrosio Lalla kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match Celsinho de Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erubiel Osoro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oleg Timofeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Bihar in the 84th minute of play. Oleg Timofeev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Bihar in the 86th minute. Clemente Bihar scored 1-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oleg Timofeev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Hacha y Tiza FC's Clemente Bihar got a free kick in the 91st minute. If André Luiz Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hacha y Tiza FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hacha y Tiza FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
