The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Los Galacticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. You Ang Zhou didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 16th minute of play forced Los Galacticos's goalkeeper Jiang Liang Ting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Galacticos's Jiang Liang Ting proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Los Galacticos from getting a goal against them. Xie Yue Chao hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Öfverman got free with Jiang Liang Ting in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Xie Yue Chao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Galacticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Yue Chao in the 31st minute of play. Jörn Matsson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, Los Galacticos's Xie Yue Chao broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The wind increased when Xie Yue Chao made the kick off in the second half. When Jörn Matsson fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brothers of Mercy's protests and gave Jörn Matsson a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xie Yue Chao, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jiang Liang Ting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 64th minute, Gustaf Berggren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Los Galacticos's zone, Bengt-Rune Strömbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiang Liang Ting came out of the goal and Bengt-Rune Strömbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jiang Liang Ting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 78th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Los Galacticos's zone, Ulf Öfverman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiang Liang Ting came out of the goal and Ulf Öfverman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 86 minutes on the clock, Vito Linhares commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Los Galacticos:s Jiang Liang Ting showed great skill when he stopped Yngve Röd:s penalty. In the 89th minute Bengt-Rune Strömbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Liang Ting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Yngve Röd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jiang Liang Ting made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Galacticos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brothers of Mercy.
