In the 11th minute, Jano Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montevideo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute André Luiz Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stavri Novakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jano Cavalcante took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stavri Novakov. Stavri Novakov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jano Cavalcante in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stavri Novakov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stavri Novakov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Montevideo's André Luiz Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stavri Novakov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to SvE United getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nikolay Levenski hit a great ball. After 30 minutes of play, Montevideo's Jano Cavalcante made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stavri Novakov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stavri Novakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jano Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Marko Kirilov in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Montevideo's Almir de Sena. 40 minutes into the match, SvE United's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Cavalcante came free, but Stavri Novakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano Cavalcante scored 0-5 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stavri Novakov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marko Kirilov was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luiz Amaral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stavri Novakov came out and tried to block the shot, but André Luiz Amaral slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 52nd minute. In the 57th minute Genko Klyashev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oleg Timofeev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho de Almeida. SvE United's Stavri Novakov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save SvE United from getting a goal against them. Oleg Timofeev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Genko Klyashev went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. SvE United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when André Luiz Amaral scored to the left of an out of position Stavri Novakov, making the score, 1-7. If André Luiz Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luiz Amaral struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Stavri Novakov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montevideo. In the 74th match minute, SvE United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Kirilov to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Dias in the 82nd minute of play forced SvE United's goalkeeper Stavri Novakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benislav Shaprin hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Stavri Novakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Cavalcante in the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, SvE United's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Amaral came free, but Stavri Novakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luiz Amaral received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stavri Novakov came out and tried to block the shot, but André Luiz Amaral slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Montevideo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SvE United throughout the match.
