Ulf Öfverman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmed Venon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt-Rune Strömbom's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Reina in the 16th minute of play. Mats Elg kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Öfverman came free, but Ahmed Venon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Rune Strömbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Ulf Öfverman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmed Venon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Salelles's Ahmed Venon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 24th minute of play. Padro Cabrera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alexandre Pires firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ahmed Venon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Brothers of Mercy getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ulf Öfverman hit a great ball. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Bengt-Rune Strömbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Venon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 44th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Ahmed Venon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Ulf Öfverman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmed Venon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Salelles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brothers of Mercy were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Rune Strömbom was the one to do the kick off. Salelles's Ahmed Venon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 52nd minute of play. Ahmed Venon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 54th minute. Bengt-Rune Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ahmed Venon made a huge save. The supporters of Salelles booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Elg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Ulf Öfverman made a precise shot to the right of Ahmed Venon. Salelles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ahmed Venon didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. After 72 played minutes Brothers of Mercy got a freekick which was hit by Edward Nyberg. A collision led to Salelles getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aritz Arias hit a great ball. Ahmed Venon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Björn Strömberg went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Yngve Röd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmed Venon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Strömbom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salelles the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Bengt-Rune Strömbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Björn Strömberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Öfverman in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmed Venon saved Salelles from getting behind. The Brothers of Mercy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
