The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erubiel Osoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Nyberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 minutes, Isaac Erramu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hacha y Tiza FC and the Brothers of Mercy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hacha y Tiza FC's Isaac Erramu got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Edward Nyberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brothers of Mercy's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Nyberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Osoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute Edward Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Osoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Xabel came free, but Fabiano Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brothers of Mercy's Fabiano Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Brothers of Mercy from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Tom Sander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brothers of Mercy's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Sander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The shot was a little too simple and Fabiano Saldanha could save by the left post. After 22 minutes, Clemente Bihar made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brothers of Mercy's Fabiano Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Edward Nyberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erubiel Osoro. Hacha y Tiza FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Nyberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fabiano Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Peruxu in the 32nd minute of the match. Hacha y Tiza FC's Erubiel Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Nyberg in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Edward Nyberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Mauro Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Calixto charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Calixto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes, Brothers of Mercy's Mats Elg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erubiel Osoro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brothers of Mercy reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Fabiano Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Xabel in the 51st minute of the match. Fabiano Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Bihar in the 53rd minute of play. Fabiano Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Peruxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Brothers of Mercy getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Mats Elg hit a great ball. Fabiano Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Xabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Fernando Peruxu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hacha y Tiza FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hacha y Tiza FC's goalkeeper Erubiel Osoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Bihar in the 87th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Fabiano Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabiano Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabricio Xabel went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Hacha y Tiza FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aquiles Monte hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Clemente Bihar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Saldanha was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1.
