Tadeusz Siekierka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Apolo Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Apolo Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Bondel in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalkeeper Apolo Munio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute of the match Kernsdorf SSA got a corner. Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lazaros Rota ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Bondel in the 20th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Álvarez's goalkeeper Apolo Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Bondel came free, but Apolo Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Munio came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Kernsdorf SSA's Tadeusz Siekierka. The supporters of Kernsdorf SSA booed when Club Deportivo Álvarez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Bondel came free, but Apolo Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Kernsdorf SSA's Tadeusz Siekierka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Munio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Osvaldo Oihan hit a great ball. After the first half Kernsdorf SSA were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kernsdorf SSA's José Guerreiro was substituted for Tadeusz Siekierka. In the 61st match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Iigo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Álvarez defense, Mariusz Bondel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Apolo Munio. The Club Deportivo Álvarez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Apolo Munio should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Apolo Munio got control of the ball when Gwidon Cieslak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Álvarez's protests and gave Gaston Iigo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, José Guerreiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Apolo Munio. The goal made the score 0-7. Kernsdorf SSA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
