TJ Stříbro's Karel Berousek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Bergqvist in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Folke Bergqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mean Machine's zone, Jiří Výmola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Kleen came out of the goal and Jiří Výmola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mean Machine's Casper Kleen got control of the ball when Petr Vomáčka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Casper Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoslav Raška in the 30th minute of play. Casper Kleen made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Radoslav Raška sent off a good shot on target. Krister Thedin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Čestmír Poulíček shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casper Kleen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Tom Eriksson fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mean Machine's protests and gave Tom Eriksson a yellow card for diving instead.
