Dida Batista took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Kleen. Casper Kleen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Folke Bergqvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luizão Braga, 1-1. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Calle Nyström hit a great ball. Mean Machine's Casper Kleen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dida Batista in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calle Nyström during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Casper Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Batista in the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Mean Machine getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tom Eriksson hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Calle Nyström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kiko de Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casper Kleen. Mean Machine's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 31 minutes, Tom Eriksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mean Machine and the Catugi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mean Machine's Tom Eriksson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Kiko de Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casper Kleen. Mean Machine's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luizão Braga made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Folke Bergqvist sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Mean Machine's Folke Bergqvist got a free kick in the 35th minute. Gösta Kämpe hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Matos. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 51 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Torres. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Catugi FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mean Machine:s goal. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Mean Machine. Mattias Willig stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luizão Braga. 2-1. Luizão Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Bergqvist in the 60th minute of play. When Emanuel Stål fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mean Machine's protests and gave Emanuel Stål a yellow card for diving instead. Emanuel Stål hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Rômulo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Folke Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luizão Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Kleen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Kleen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kiko de Lima. With a little luck, Mean Machine's Casper Kleen got control of the ball when João Carlos Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tom Eriksson hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mean Machine's zone, Dida Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Kleen came out of the goal and Dida Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dida Batista struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Casper Kleen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. There was no doubt that Mean Machine were the better team. Mean Machine's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
