JULM C.F.'s Rein Püss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Albohm in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Malte Albohm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rein Püss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt Ånger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiki Maandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cheetah Team! 29 minutes into the match, Malte Albohm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rein Püss. JULM C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Malte Albohm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Leif Ryberg got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When Heiki Maandi came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the JULM C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heiki Maandi couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mark Malmberg hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Bengt Ånger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heiki Maandi. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fredrik Vallin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Fredrik Vallin got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Leif Ryberg fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cheetah Team's protests and gave Leif Ryberg a yellow card for diving instead. If Heiki Maandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kaimo Aas came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the JULM C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaimo Aas couldn't finish the play. Heiki Maandi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rein Püss made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Malte Albohm sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the JULM C.F. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
