After a rather tough play, Purple Shadows's Boguslaw Cisek got a free kick in the 22nd minute. JULM C.F.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdek Joa in the 24th minute. Valdek Joa made a great header on JULM C.F.'s corner, it was just that Purple Shadows's Jurand Waselenczuk managed to reach the ball for a save. Jurand Waselenczuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heiki Maandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ilmar Hermaste fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JULM C.F.'s protests and gave Ilmar Hermaste a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 minutes, Vambola Raig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JULM C.F. and the Purple Shadows players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kusti Hakk during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to JULM C.F. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Kusti Hakk hit a great ball. Rein Püss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zula Scislowicz in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zula Scislowicz made a kick off. In the 59th match minute, Purple Shadows was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Wykowski to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, JULM C.F.'s Valdek Joa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. JULM C.F.'s Peeter Hovi suffered a concussion in the 60th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 61 minutes into the game, Florian Wykowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Purple Shadows's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JULM C.F. the free kick. Rein Püss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Moizuk in the 76th minute of the match. JULM C.F.'s Rein Püss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Moizuk in the 79th minute of play. If Heiki Maandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Jacek Jarocewicz came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Purple Shadows fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacek Jarocewicz couldn't finish the play. JULM C.F.'s Rein Püss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacek Jarocewicz in the 96th minute of play. The Purple Shadows supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Purple Shadows would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
