The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Scofield's Constantino Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Ekrot in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Samuel Isaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maximiliano Enekoitz lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 20th minute, one of Scofield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Scofield. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for SSC Ambrosini. Alf Kullgren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Constantino Mel. 0-1. 29 minutes in the game Ulises Blai did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Aaron Rodriguez. 31 minutes into the match, Scofield's goal looked a bit too open when Gottfrid Heggert came free, but Constantino Mel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to SSC Ambrosini getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Karl-Michael Ekrot hit a great ball. Martin Hedberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Etxatxu's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Scofield's Samuel Isaio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's goalkeeper Martin Hedberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timoteo Rufo. Martin Hedberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Etxatxu in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timoteo Rufo to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, SSC Ambrosini's Daniel Askestät got a free kick in the 51st minute. The supporters of Scofield booed when SSC Ambrosini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Askestät didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Timoteo Rufo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scofield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 65 minutes of play, Scofield's Timoteo Rufo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Hedberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Scofield's Ubaldo Orti got a free kick in the 74th minute. Scofield's Constantino Mel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Scofield from getting a goal against them. The supporters of SSC Ambrosini booed when Scofield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Colon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes SSC Ambrosini got a freekick which was hit by Gottfrid Heggert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Isaio in the 86th minute of play forced SSC Ambrosini's goalkeeper Martin Hedberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Scofield's Ulises Blai got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Emilio Etxatxu's late challenge caught a SSC Ambrosini's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Etxatxu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Scofield getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Emilio Etxatxu hit a great ball.
