An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 4th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Augusto Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Salelles defense, Håkan Šuker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Gonzalez. The Salelles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 10th minute of play forced Salelles's goalkeeper Augusto Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Augusto Gonzalez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hans Bergfelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Augusto Gonzalez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Gonzalez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salelles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hans Bergfelt was slow to take the kick. During this time La Cosa Nostra's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Hans Bergfelt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salelles's Augusto Gonzalez did a great save. Augusto Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Millrick in the 19th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Hans Bergfelt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Augusto Gonzalez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bizen Roig charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bizen Roig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Salelles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bizen Roig to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Elias Millrick managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Cosa Nostra's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Millrick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Gonzalez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the game, Mohamed Reina threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Cosa Nostra's Ricardo Araújo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 30 minutes of play, La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Gonzalez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 33 minutes into the match, Salelles's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Šuker came free, but Augusto Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Cosa Nostra's zone, Matthew De la Torre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sonny Alén came out of the goal and Matthew De la Torre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Šuker in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Gonzalez saved Salelles from getting behind. In the 44th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Boran Tekinalp to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Håkan Šuker made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Salelles's goalkeeper Augusto Gonzalez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Håkan Šuker. When the match had gone on for 50 minutes, Håkan Šuker took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Augusto Gonzalez to make any attempt to save it. Augusto Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes in the game Afşar Çoğaş did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Giorgio Camacho. Padro Cabrera scored 1-5 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Alén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Håkan Šuker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Elias Millrick sped through Salelles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Augusto Gonzalez. 63 minutes into the match, Elias Millrick notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Salelles's Augusto Gonzalez. Augusto Gonzalez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th match minute, La Cosa Nostra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Severiano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of La Cosa Nostra booed when Salelles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afşar Çoğaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Gonzalez made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Håkan Šuker sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, Håkan Šuker dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Augusto Gonzalez, 1-8. If Ahmet Boran Tekinalp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When La Cosa Nostra's Håkan Šuker in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salelles's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Håkan Šuker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Gonzalez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. 85 minutes in the game, Håkan Šuker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Augusto Gonzalez having to interfere. Håkan Šuker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Augusto Gonzalez made a huge save. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Cosa Nostra's goalkeeper Sonny Alén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salelles's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Håkan Šuker scored to the left of an out of position Augusto Gonzalez, making the score, 1-10. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Cosa Nostra walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
