When Brothers of Mercy's Pål Joensson in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lauro Cearense hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Pål Joensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willian Lucas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Willian Lucas came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Pål Joensson. But to his dismay, Pål Joensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 35 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Willian Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pål Joensson. Pål Joensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Willian Lucas made a huge save. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Leões do Sul 53 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duarte Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Pål Joensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leões do Sul 53's Willian Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Peres got free with Stig-Arne Boström in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Pål Joensson made a precise shot to the right of Willian Lucas. Leões do Sul 53's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Leões do Sul 53's zone, Pål Joensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Lucas came out of the goal and Pål Joensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Pål Joensson notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Leões do Sul 53's Willian Lucas. Willian Lucas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Brothers of Mercy's Stig-Arne Boström got control of the ball when Carlos Eduardo Peres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Willian Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Joensson in the 72nd minute of play. Willian Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pål Joensson went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 79 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Pål Joensson made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willian Lucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Eduardo Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Stig-Arne Boström made a huge save. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Johan Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Brothers of Mercy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Leões do Sul 53 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
