The La Cosa Nostra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 6th minute, Håkan Šuker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Willian Lucas. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Leões do Sul 53 booed when La Cosa Nostra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Bergfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Kullander, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes La Cosa Nostra got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Pedroso. With a little luck, Leões do Sul 53's Willian Lucas got control of the ball when Håkan Šuker tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Leões do Sul 53 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Kullander to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 22nd minute of play forced Leões do Sul 53's goalkeeper Willian Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willian Lucas was a little too slow when Elias Millrick got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Leões do Sul 53's zone, Håkan Šuker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Lucas came out of the goal and Håkan Šuker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Cauan Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willian Lucas was a little too slow when Håkan Šuker got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 4-0. Håkan Šuker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willian Lucas having to make a save. Willian Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Cauan Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Alén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney da Cunha was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, La Cosa Nostra's Ahmet Boran Tekinalp made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willian Lucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 54 minutes into the match, Leões do Sul 53's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Šuker came free, but Willian Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Håkan Šuker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willian Lucas was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 57 minutes into the game, Håkan Šuker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Willian Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 60 minutes, Håkan Šuker made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Leões do Sul 53's Willian Lucas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Willian Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sydney da Cunha came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sonny Alén could save by the left post. Leões do Sul 53's Willian Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Millrick in the 74th minute of play. Håkan Šuker took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willian Lucas. Willian Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 82nd minute, Ricardo Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Šuker's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Håkan Šuker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willian Lucas having to make a save. Willian Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Šuker in the 87th minute of play. Duarte Sabóia hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
