In the 21st minute, one of Leões do Sul 53:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leões do Sul 53. Leões do Sul 53's Edinho Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Joensson in the 24th minute of play. When the match was over Brothers of Mercy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leões do Sul 53 throughout the match.
