Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Joensson in the 3rd minute of the match. Alberto Clementi missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 6 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sonny Alén right hand side. 范邦天 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Šuker in the 9th minute of play. Brothers of Mercy's attentive Thiago van Dijk managed to snatch the ball when Jerónimo Avelar made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Šuker in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 范邦天 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 范邦天 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 43rd match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Dalström to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Sonny Alén managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Brothers of Mercy's Pål Joensson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Brothers of Mercy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Cosa Nostra were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Kenny Dalström made the kick off in the second half. 范邦天 made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Agnaldo Reis sent off a good shot on target. Brothers of Mercy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Maurício Mansilha scored to the left of an out of position 范邦天, making the score, 1-5. Elias Millrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. 范邦天 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
