In the 5th minute of the match, Cătălin Vieru got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teun Verbraecken was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 7 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Eliu. If Edmílson Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute Edmílson Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Tiberiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vintilă Tiberiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. When Inácio Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Barra Funda F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Domingues couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Romeo Hoduț hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Conrado Eliu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vintilă Tiberiu skillfully saved the ball. Vintilă Tiberiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inácio Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barra Funda F.C were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmílson Mineiro took the corner. In the 18thth minute of the game Nichifor Miroiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Vintilă Tiberiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vintilă Tiberiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Cunha in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Barra Funda F.C's Inácio Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vintilă Tiberiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 32 played minutes Barra Funda F.C got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Porto. If Cătălin Vieru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Ioan Botgros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teun Verbraecken narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Barra Funda F.C booed when FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Hoduț didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Domingues in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Vintilă Tiberiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Porto in the 48th minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Vintilă Tiberiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Inácio Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Vintilă Tiberiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vintilă Tiberiu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inácio Domingues went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute, Aron Dichiseanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Vintilă Tiberiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting a goal against them. Vintilă Tiberiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Mineiro's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Vintilă Tiberiu came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Barra Funda F.C's Inácio Domingues. But to his dismay, Inácio Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Martin Costache hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Vintilă Tiberiu got control of the ball when Inácio Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Barra Funda F.C's Inácio Domingues ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vintilă Tiberiu. Vintilă Tiberiu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. 76 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Cunha came free, but Vintilă Tiberiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmílson Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Barra Funda F.C's Rogério Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vintilă Tiberiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 87th minute, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Inácio Domingues fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vintilă Tiberiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogério Cunha in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt defense, Inácio Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vintilă Tiberiu. The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vintilă Tiberiu should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Barra Funda F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt throughout the match.
